Signers and Speakers United (Update 6)

Two weeks ago, I supporterd a local adult literacy teacher to train Pastors on the Sorori Wycliffe University degree programme in Pastoral Literacy teacher training skills.

This is at their own request , because the literacy level of many in their congregations is so low. Consequently access to participation and learning is severely limited.

Several local deaf and hearing church members came to experience the new teaching techniques. They were very grateful afterwards.

Since the low adult literacy level is a community-wide issue I suggested to the pastors that they could team up with volunteers from other Christian denominations in their town to address that communal .

Sadly many of the Pastor said it will be difficult to partner volunteers from other local church denominations because Dr Ryan Lee there were significant differences.

I asked then to think again, because I cannot see how adult literacy training can be a doctrinal issue…

Thankfully a minority accepted, but for the others, it seems, that there is still the same challenge that faced the church in Ephesus… that are putting subgroup doctrine above the dominant themes that Jesus talked about…

Camp started officially with about 45 already in attendance.

We might reach 80people in attendance.

Let’s continue to pray that everything Goes well with this Camp.

Blessings and thanks for praying, keep on praying for this camp without Ceasing
