Purple for Polio

Friday 24th October is World Polio Awareness Day. Arbury Rotary Club harve been working with many different organisations to help promote this awareness through asking public and prominent buildings to illuminate purple. Roger Coopey a member of St Nicolas Wednesday Congregation asked if St Nicolas Church could do this too and so we have! A huge thank you to John Hitchcock and Leon Robbins for working out how we might do this and enabling this to happen! It’s great opportunity to pray for those affected and for those involved in research in this illness.

Every child that receives the vaccine has his or her little finger painted purple to show that they have received the vaccine. https://www.rotarygbi.org/projects/purple4polio/
